Privacy Policy

Your business records should stay under your control.

Docarith follows an offline-first product approach. This policy explains website communication, browser-only tools, planned app data workflows and privacy rights.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Docarith handles information in connection with the Docarith website, free browser-based billing tools, launch communication and the planned Docarith application.

Docarith is being developed as a billing, inventory and business tracker application for invoices, quotations, sales, purchases, stock, customers, suppliers, payments, reports, PDF exports and local backup workflows.

2. Who controls personal information

Docarith is currently a privately operated product based in India. Until Docarith is operated through a registered company, references to “Docarith”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the current Docarith operator. For support, privacy, accessibility and grievance requests, contactsupport@docarith.com.

For the current website and free browser-based tools, Docarith may receive personal information only when you choose to contact us, request launch updates, send feedback or ask for support.

This may include your email address, name if provided, message content and any details you choose to include. We use this information only as reasonably needed to reply, provide requested updates, handle support, understand product interest, maintain security and improve Docarith.

You can contact Docarith about privacy questions, data protection requests or grievance requests at support@docarith.com.

If Docarith is later operated through a registered company, or if a formal data protection officer or grievance officer becomes required, this Privacy Policy will be updated with the relevant details.

3. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to website visitors, people who contact Docarith, people who request launch updates, users of the free website invoice and quotation tools, and future users of the Docarith app.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to contact Docarith, request updates, or use the free website tools on behalf of a business. Docarith is not directed at children, and the website and free tools are not intended for use by children.

4. Information you provide directly

If you choose to email us, request updates or send feedback, we may receive your name, email address, message content, product interest, platform interest, country, business type and any details you choose to include.

We use this information only as reasonably needed to respond to you, send requested updates, understand product interest, investigate reported issues, maintain security and improve Docarith.

5. Free invoice and quotation tools

The free invoice and quotation tools are designed to run in your browser. Information you type into these tools is used to generate the on-screen document preview and browser print/PDF output.

If you use browser history inside the tool, saved invoices and quotations are stored only in browser storage on that device. Clearing site data, using another browser, using private browsing or changing devices may remove or hide those saved records.

You do not need a Docarith server account to use the free website tools. Browser-only history should not be used as your only business record. Save, download or export any invoice or quotation you need to keep.

6. Website and technical information

Like most websites, normal hosting and browser requests may involve technical information such as device type, browser type, operating system, page URL, language, locale, timezone, referrer, IP-related network information and basic performance or security information.

The website may use browser timezone and locale to suggest a currency or phone country code. This is only a convenience for the document tool. You can manually change currency and phone number values when creating documents.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Docarith may use strictly necessary browser storage for website operation and browser-only invoice or quotation history. If analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are added later, the Cookie Policy will be updated and any required choices will be provided.

Read the Cookie Policy for more detail.

8. Offline-first app data

The planned Docarith app is being designed so that core business data can be stored locally on the user’s device for offline use. This may include invoices, quotations, customers, suppliers, products, stock, purchases, sales, payment status, expenses, tax and discount values, PDFs, reports, settings and backup files.

For normal offline use, the first Docarith app release is planned to keep day-to-day business records on the user’s device instead of requiring them to be uploaded to Docarith servers. Internet may still be required for optional connected services such as cloud backup, sync, payment links, email sharing, diagnostics, support or app-store services.

9. Camera, photos, barcode and document features

Future app features may allow users to scan bills, upload images, review OCR results, read barcodes or attach business logos. These features may require camera, photo or file permissions. Permission use should be limited to the feature the user chooses.

10. PDFs, exports and sharing

Users may create, print, download, export, share or back up documents from Docarith. Once a user downloads, exports, emails, messages or shares a file, that copy may be controlled by the user, the receiving party or the third-party app used for sharing.

11. Customers, suppliers and third-party information

Users may enter customer, supplier, employee or other third-party information into invoices, quotations, contacts, statements, reports or backups. Users are responsible for having a lawful reason and any required notice or permission to store and use that information.

12. Payments and financial records

Docarith may help record payment status, amounts received, due balances, purchase values, sales values, stock values and profit estimates. Unless a future payment integration clearly says otherwise, Docarith should not be treated as a bank, payment processor, tax advisor, accountant, financial advisor or legal advisor.

13. Optional services, analytics and diagnostics

Future optional services may include analytics, crash reports, diagnostics, cloud backup, multi-device sync, account login, email delivery, payment links or support tools. If those features are added, this policy will be updated to explain what information is processed, why it is processed, how long it is kept and which providers are used where relevant.

14. Legal bases for processing

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other regions with similar requirements, Docarith may rely on different legal bases depending on the activity. These may include consent for launch updates or optional non-essential cookies, performance of a contract or pre-contract steps for requested services, legitimate interests for support, security and product improvement, and legal obligations where compliance records are required.

For users in India, Docarith processes personal information consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), including collecting personal information only for specified purposes, providing notice of processing, and relying on consent where required by that law.

15. How information is used

  • To provide and improve the website and free billing tools.
  • To respond to messages, feedback and support requests.
  • To send launch updates where requested.
  • To maintain security, prevent misuse and diagnose issues.
  • To understand product interest and improve future features.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

16. Sharing and service providers

Docarith may use service providers for website hosting, domain and email services, security, diagnostics, analytics if added later, and future connected services. These providers may process limited technical, communication or service-related information only as needed to provide their services.

Docarith does not currently sell personal information, and the current setup does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

17. International transfers

Because the website may be accessed worldwide and service providers may operate in different countries, information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, Docarith should use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

18. Retention

Browser-only invoice and quotation history remains in your browser until you clear it, clear site data, use a private session, change browsers or remove the data through available controls.

Contact emails, support messages and launch update requests are typically retained for up to 24 months from the date of your last interaction with us. We may retain information for longer where reasonably necessary to handle an ongoing dispute, satisfy a legal or regulatory obligation, or maintain records required for security or audit purposes. Future app or account features may introduce separate retention periods, which will be disclosed at that time.

19. Security

Docarith aims to use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website, device, browser storage, email, backup file or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Users should protect their devices, passwords, exported PDFs and backup files.

20. Children

Docarith is intended for business and productivity use, not for children. Do not use Docarith to knowingly submit information about a child unless you have the right to do so and it is necessary for a lawful business purpose.

21. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent or information about how your personal information is used. California users may also have rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, opt out of sale or sharing and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights, where those laws apply.

Users in India may exercise applicable rights of access, correction, updating, erasure and grievance redressal by writing to the contact below. The current Docarith privacy and grievance contact point is support@docarith.com. We aim to acknowledge privacy or grievance requests within a reasonable time and respond within the period required by applicable law.

To make a privacy request, contact support@docarith.com with a clear subject such as “Privacy request” or “GDPR request”. We may need reasonable information to verify the request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

22. Your choices

  • You can choose what information to enter into the free tools.
  • You can clear browser/site data to remove browser-only history.
  • You can unsubscribe from launch updates by contacting us.
  • You can avoid sending sensitive business records by email unless needed.
  • You can choose not to use optional connected services if offered later.

23. Updates

This policy may be updated as Docarith evolves, especially if accounts, payments, cloud backup, sync, analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, app-store features or other connected services are added. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
